This here is a layout configurator for the Xbox 360 joypad. I created it when I was unable to find an equivalent tool online. I was looking for this sort of tool because I recently started experimenting with using the gamepad in Star Citizen and, as anyone who has played the game can attest to, the sheer number of different bindable actions became just a little bit too much to remember reliably.
So what I needed was a way to get all my actions into a picture showing what controls did what. And here we have exactly that! This tool has another advantage however - you can share your layouts in an easy to understand way. The idea is simple, use the text boxes below to enter your action, press the "add" button and your action will get mapped to the corresponding input in the image. Once you have your actions mapped to the controller, simply right-click the image and select "Save Image As..." and give the image a name. Just be sure to keep the .png filetype designation at the end. In the future, I'll be adding a button that will allow you to save the image with just one-click but for now, the awkward way will have to do. You can also change the font, the font color, the background color and the line color, as well as give your layout a title. At the end of it all, what you have is an image showing your layout in an easy to understand way.
It's still a little rough around the edges and I'd like to add more functionality to it but, at least for the time-being, it does the job to some degree. Eventually, I'll try to do the same for other controllers but for now, that's it! I hope you find this little tool useful and I look forward to any feedback and suggestions you might have.
